Hand Crafted Goods: Breads, Cookies, Soap, Bath and Body Products, and Cards

Carrie and her daughter Mia enjoy working together all year on their favorite home-made baked goods and crafts. Combining long-loved family recipes, current baking trends, and fruits and vegetables from their Village Homes garden and the shared orchards, they have been creating delicious treats together since Mia was a young girl. She has offered these treats at her annual lemonade stand starting when she was 7 years old. This fall, she opted for a hot cider stand, instead. She can be found at the Village Homes Craft Fair, with pumpkin bread and cookies, zucchini bread made from zucchini grown in their garden, chocolate chip cookies, and their family’s favorite traditional bread. Mia also makes beautiful hand-made cards. Her mom makes goat’s milk soap, and other skin care items. Having sensitive skin and natures, they have learned how to craft their own treats that nurture and delight them inside and out. Ingredients and recipes are grown and/or selected with care to make high-quality items that they can use or eat, and they enjoy sharing these items with friends and neighbors.

These are just a few of the things that Mia and Carrie have made in the past year. Mia will have these and similar items available at the Village Homes Craft Fair on November 16. Hope to see you there!
